After our discussion during fifth hour today, we decided that our next reading "assignment" is chapters three and four. We'd like to have them done when we get back from spring break, so that puts us at Monday, March 9th.
If anything pops up during the reading that you'd like to opine about, feel free to start a post about it. We'll all jump on board and comment up a storm.
This is gonna be fun.
And intellectually-stimulating, of course.

I have the book The Wretched Stone discussed in chapter 3 if anyone wants to use it. It is one of my favorites and I can see doing this lesson. This text would really be a good one to start critical thinking because it is an issue the kids would easily disagree with and want to argue. They could see how a text could challenge what many believe about television. Holly this might be a good way to start critical thinking before your book clubs - if you haven't started them already that is.
